Is anybody listening?

Silence is golden. Some things don’t even deserve a response.

Words are a powerful force, and the Bible reminds us to be careful of what we speak because our own words will either justify or condemn us (Matthew 12:37). One of the enemy’s greatest tricks is trapping us with our own words. And in today’s world, it’s easier than ever to fall into that trap because so much of what is destructive has been normalized.

It’s normal to curse. Normal to say things carelessly, even putting things on God. Normal to speak death over ourselves without a second thought. But just because something is common doesn’t mean it’s right.

The entire world is under mass deception, and it makes sense why Jesus said only a few will be saved (Matthew 7:14). Only a few will have the courage to step away from the crowd and be different. Everyone wants to look the same, act the same, talk the same—no one wants to be an individual anymore. People just want to copy the next popular influencer.

Even the music today is insane. So many female artists only rap about their bodies and how many men they can use. What is the world coming to? An end—that’s what. And that’s exactly why we need to watch our words even more carefully. We don’t know the day or the hour of Jesus’ return, and the Bible tells us over and over to stay ready. In Matthew 25, Jesus tells the parable of the ten virgins—five were wise and prepared, while the other five were foolish and assumed they had more time.

Some things just aren’t worth it anymore.

When you realize how valuable your time and energy are, you won’t waste them on things that don’t matter.

I’m done conforming to the world’s standards and living to please people. The only one I owe anything to is God. I don’t owe it to anyone else to be what they want me to be—I am who God says I am! Either rise up to my standard or stay where you are, but I refuse to lower myself for anyone.

I’m choosing life! And since the Bible says life and death are in the power of the tongue, I’m speaking life! No longer will the enemy use me against me.

Today is a new day!
