πβ¨ Pretty Girl of the Year β¨π
Meet: Taylor, Our Pretty Girl of the Year π©·
This award represents transformation and growth—and no one embodies that more beautifully than Taylor, affectionately known as Tay or Tayma. From the very beginning of her journey with More Than Pretty, Tay has radiated warmth, sincerity, and a tenderhearted spirit that uplifts everyone around her. She is charismatic, vibrant, and carries a nurturing presence that makes those near her feel seen, loved, and safe.
When she made the decision to devote her life back to God, she prayed for a village—and God answered through More Than Pretty. What began as a Bible study quickly became a sisterhood, a space of accountability, and a spiritual home that helped her blossom into the woman we see today.
Tay’s story is one of courage, consistency, and surrender. She has allowed God to transform her heart from the inside out, walking boldly in faith, grace, and growth. Her journey reminds us all that being more than pretty means letting God rewrite your story, renew your spirit, and reveal your true beauty—one chapter at a time.
Q&A: the heart behind the crown π
In this exclusive More Than Pretty spotlight, Taylor shares her journey of faith, growth, and transformation—and what it truly means to be more than pretty.
Q: How does it feel to be honored as Pretty Girl of the Year?
A: AHHH!!!! I’m still so over joyed and honored that God put it on Mar’s heart to honor me as Pretty Girl of the Year! It was sooo unexpected, but right on time! Praise God!!! Our Father is sooo intentional and I truly believe, with this award He wanted to remind me to walk boldly in who He’s called me to be. And in order to do that… I had to fully let go of what I wanted my life to look like and allow Him full control, to show me just how good it can really get when I choose Him first!
Q: When you reflect on this past year, what growth are you most proud of?
A: This year has been so personal. I’ve done so much inner work and I’ve grown exponentially in so many different areas. But I would say I’m most proud of my decision to stop idolizing money. I left a very lucrative industry because God called me higher. Letting go of that money was not easy, AT ALL! Even made the mistake of going back and having to repent for being disobedient! But every day God reminds me of His promise over my life. And I’m holding on tightly to that promise, because I know it’ll be bigger and better than I could’ve ever dreamed of when He’s all said and done with me!
Q: What was a turning point for you in your faith or personal life?
A: A true turning point for me while walking in faith and growing closer to God, was realizing that once you know better you really have no choice but to do better! Because babyyyyyy, that conviction gone hit you like a ton of bricks every time when you’re actually trying to live righteously and pleasingly to God!
Q: What would you say to a woman who’s scared to change or leave the familiar?
A: Do it Scared! Do it broke! Do it unsure! But most importantly, do it with God!!!
All I can see in this moment is that one picture of the little girl who’s scared to let go of the teddy bear… and then there’s God standing right before her with a teddy bear hidden behind His back. The one He has is 10x bigger and better than the one she’s worried about letting go of… That picture hits different when you realize you’re the little girl! I don’t know who this is for but the newness that God has for you does not fit in your old lifestyle.
Let go of the old so that you can live in the newβ¨

Q&A: the heart behind the crown π
We sat down with Nauti to hear about her journey, her faith, and how she turns challenges into strength, grace, and inspiration.
Q: What keeps your spirit strong when things get hard?
A: When things get hard, I like to lean on God’s word and not my own understanding. I love to cast all of my cares on Him because He cares ab me (1 Peter 5:7). Once I pray and/or ask God to do something, I wash my hands to it. I gave it to God so it is no longer any of my business.
Q: How has your resilience shaped the way you see yourself and your relationship with God today?
A: I’ve been intentional ab knowing God. Knowing God helps me learn and know more about myself. Bc my Heavenly Father speaks so highly of me, I choose to believe what He says ab me. I root my confidence in Him and being a daughter of The King.
Q: What scripture or promise from God carried you through your toughest moments?
A: “I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13)
“Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4)
“This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)
Q: What advice would you give to a woman who’s struggling to keep going?
A: Lean in on Jesus. Cut off everything and everyone if need be and don’t feel bad for it. Lay your problems at His feet. Come with tears & unload for God is the greatest comforter. He hears us, He’s with us always. Pray whenever you can even if it’s only for 2 mins. Nothing goes to waste, even your “bad” days can be worked out for your good. Put God first always. Put in the work. Focus on Him. Have Faith!
Prom Queen:
Miss inner beauty π
our queen: meet shanice π
Shanice is faithful, relentless, and welcoming—a true queen in every sense of the word. Her journey with More Than Pretty has led her from seasons of hardship and struggle to healing, purpose, and deep connection with a community of like-minded women.
Being a queen isn’t just about a crown or a title. It’s about embodying strength, grace, and integrity in every season of life. A queen uplifts those around her, leads with her heart, and walks boldly in her purpose. She inspires through faith, courage, and resilience, showing that true queenship comes from embracing your worth, shining your light, and empowering others to rise alongside you.
Q&A: the heart behind the crown π
We caught up with Shanice to share her story, the lessons that shaped her, and what it truly means to shine with confidence, purpose, and grace.
Q: What does being crowned Prom Queen mean to you spiritually?
A: Being crowned Prom Queen for More Than Pretty means so much more to me than just a title or a crown it’s a reflection of God’s grace and love over my life. God is the head of my life, my leader, and the one I follow all the days of my life. Spiritually, this moment symbolizes how my Father, the King, chose to shine His light on His daughter who once needed a little more uplifting. It was His way of reminding me that I am worthy of queen treatment because I am His royalty.
This crown isn’t just about beauty or popularity it represents restoration, growth, and divine affirmation. It’s about stepping into my Proverbs 31 era and leaving behind my Jezebel era trading insecurity and striving for confidence and grace rooted in Christ. Proverbs 31:25 says, “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.” That verse speaks to exactly how I felt in that moment: strengthened, seen, and crowned with His favor.
Being crowned Prom Queen was God’s gentle way of saying, “Daughter, I see you, I’m proud of you, and I’ve called you to shine.”
Q: How has God transformed the way you see yourself this year?
A: This year has been one of the hardest, yet most transforming seasons of my life. I was walking away from an abusive relationship with my fiancé, and for a long time, I saw myself through his eyes instead of God’s. I believed the lies he spoke over me, and I let his words shape the way I viewed my worth. But God had other plans.
When I joined More Than Pretty and became part of Divine Destiny Christian Fellowship, everything began to shift. God surrounded me with women of faith who spoke life into me women who reminded me that I am fearfully and wonderfully made, that I am not who he said I was, but who He says I am. Slowly, I began to see the woman in the mirror differently. I started noticing a new glow not from makeup or filters, but from healing. I could feel God wiping my tears, fixing my crown, and whispering, “Daughter, you are still mine.”
He reminded me that I have a little girl watching me and that the same confidence I pour into her, I need to pour into myself. The way I cheer her on, He told me to start cheering for me too. When I started walking in obedience, following His voice instead of my pain, everything began to change. My outlook, my confidence, my peace all of it.
Now, I see myself through the eyes of my Father loved, chosen, worthy, and crowned with purpose.
Q: What’s one prayer you’re carrying into this next chapter of your life?
A: The prayer I’m carrying into this next chapter of my life is rooted in John 3:16 — “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son.” This verse reminds me that I don’t have to carry the weight of the world on my shoulders. Because of His sacrifice, I can cast all my cares, worries, and pain at His feet.
My prayer is that I continue to trust God fully to let go of control, release the burdens I’ve been holding, and rest in His love. I want to walk into this next season with peace in my heart, knowing that He’s already gone before me. I’m praying for continued strength, wisdom, and the ability to recognize that I am never alone. Every tear, every trial, every triumph. He’s been there through it all.
So my prayer is simple: Lord, help me to trust You more, to lay everything at Your feet, and to walk boldly in the purpose You’ve set before me.
Q: If you could encourage another woman who doesn’t yet see herself as a Queen, what would you say to her?
A: To the woman who doesn’t yet see herself as a Queen. Keep your head held high. Remember, you serve a King. Your Father in Heaven calls you His daughter, His princess, His masterpiece. So never lessen yourself to fit into places or people who can’t see your worth.
Don’t let the noise of the world tilt your crown. You are beautiful, chosen, and worthy of every good thing God has planned for you. Even on the days when you feel broken or overlooked, know that your Father still sees royalty when He looks at you.
God created you with purpose, and He’s not finished writing your story. Walk with grace, fix your crown, and remind yourself daily — “I am a daughter of the King.”
